I edited the Gamecock Baseball season trailer for the NCAA Tournament under a tight 48-hour deadline. The project highlighted the team’s resurgence and energy while pushing me to work quickly and collaboratively to deliver a finished product on time.
This project was full of firsts for me. During my time with South Carolina Athletics, Gamecock Baseball was my first creative love, the sport that made me realize how much storytelling could elevate a program’s energy and identity. It was also the first video that made me truly believe I could turn my passion into a career in the sports creative world.
With just a 48-hour deadline, I worked side by side with my coworkers, Will Davidson and Richard Houcque, late into the night to capture the resurgence of a once proud program. It was one of the most collaborative experiences I’ve ever had, three of us huddled around one computer, hand-picking each shot, debating timing, and pushing each other to get every frame right.
Set to Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares,” the piece embodied everything Gamecock Baseball stood for: swagger, confidence, and belief. It not only celebrated the team’s return to form but also marked a turning point for me, proof that with creativity, collaboration, and grit, team efforts could create something truly unforgettable.
