I edited a quick turnaround post game that went out 45 minutes after defeating Kentucky in walkoff fashion.
I couldn’t have imagined a better situation to shoot in. Down 4-1 going into the bottom of the ninth against the number four team in the country, all I could think about was Interstellar. Having watched it the previous week for its ten-year anniversary, the speech about not going quietly into the night kept replaying in my mind, a perfect parallel to the team’s rally.
After an electric walkoff in the bottom of the tenth, I sprinted up to the press box to capture a quick recap. At the same time, I knew I might need to create a full series recap if we won one of the next two games, so I wanted to preserve the story and celebration for later. Editing that recap fueled purely by joy and adrenaline was easily one of the most exhilarating experiences of my college career.
